Hitachi Storage Battery (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 2010 as an affiriated company in Thailand of Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd., which is a lead-acid battery manufacturer in Hitachi Group.

As urgent issue, “Shin-Kobe” needed sales expansion of automotive batteries as its main product to emerging market in the world according to business expansion of car manufacturers. Shin-Kobe had already incorporated Hitachi Storage Battery (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. in China, the first foreign manufacturing site, now it concentrates on sales in growing Chinese market.
